A lovely soft cushion cover handmade of 100% Swedish wool in yellow tweed and natural grey. The yellow section has a different texture to the grey section of the cushion, making it possible to distinguish between the two by touch. Add to that the hand embroidered braille details that spell the colours of the cushion (in Swedish in this case) and you can literally Feel the Colour.®

The idea for this design came about during a regional project that championed Swedish wool and wanted to highlight its many qualities. One of the things I love about wool is how tactile it is, so I wanted to do something with that. I wondered if it would be possible to design something that through the use of touch and imagination, would enable visually impaired people to experience the design in their own way. (Many lose their sight later in life and therefore have memories of colours.) The result is the Feel the Colour® collection.

The cover fits a generously stuffed 40x40cm inner cushion and has a practical zip closure for easy removal of the inner cushion.
(Please note, inner cushion is not included.)
